I recorded a few tracks with Acid no prob. Then when I try to just open audio files they open but there is no waveform and nothing can be heard. Has this happened to anyone and did they fix it?

What are you computer specs?

Where did you obtain the program?

Did you check your configuration in Acid Properties?

Even if I try to open a file in a new project I get the same thing.
Specs:
512 SD
P3 800Mhz x 2
20gig (For Audio)
40gig (for everything else)

The app is the demo from the site then registered.

I saw nothing in Acid properties that should have anything to do with this.

Forgive me if you already know this, but after you open audio files (or add audio files to a project) you have to draw them into the timeline.

If that’s not it, are you saying that the audio files are in the timeline, just without the waveform? That would be strange, especially considering you say it happens even with new projects. If that is the case though, are the audio file names still there (in the timeline) or does it say “Media Offline”?

This can sometimes be the cause of people's problems.

What does draw in the time line mean? I'm not at all familiar with Acid. I'm using it because I'm helping a friend with a project he has in Acid. Treat as totally Acid ignorant.

Here's a screenshot of ACID. The timeline is where the waveform is. In order to get it there, you have to draw it. You do that by clicking and holding down the left mouse button somewhere in the timeline and dragging it to the right.
