acid... help!

using acid music studio 7 (yeah hahaha) and i cant figure out how to just select/highlight a section of a track and up the volume/gain/anything for just that section without changing the other tracks in the mix. i know it's a dumb question, but the tutorials arent helping and i cant find it in the manual (lulz). maybe i should stick to audacity

i use acid pro 6.

when i want to change gain for multiple sections i select each section either by using the selection tool (the mouse inside dotted line box) and selecting sections that are next to each other.

or i'll use the normal draw tool and hold the CTRL key while click on different sections.

at the top of the section (sections default at full gain) you can click and drag the gain down.
