Acid as a Rewire Client

I'm trying to get Acid Pro 7.0 to run under Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 via Rewire and I'm obviously doing something wrong. The Acid manual says to open it on a track as an insert, but it seems Pro Tools doesn't realize Acid is there, because it isn't listed under any of the plug-in menus. Has anyone gotten Acid to run under Pro Tools at all? I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks in advance for any help.

are you workin' with a stereo track? try that
Do you see Rewire loading up Acid when PT starts up?

Yep, I've tried stereo and mono tracks and even projects with different sample-rates and bit-depths, and no I haven't seen it load (you're talking about when PT loads all the plugins on startup right?), but I've never seen Reason or Ableton loading either and they both work fine. I tend not to bother people with my problems, but this one's got me banging my head on my desk, thank you very much for the reply and help.
