Someone has given me a computor and it has Acid 2.0 already installed.

I am thinking of using it just for audio recording , running my Tascam 8 track DP-01FX thru' the WAV files .

Would you say this sofware was good for this as I have'nt yet tried , I will get a friend to help me operate this system.

Some say that Acid 2.0 is a bit tinny sounding , is that true for just acoustic audio recording?

I recorded some of my first songs a long time ago on Acid2

It's extremely basic and very limited (no vst plugin support as I remember), but you can do it.

Acid2 itself is not "tinny" sounding. It only plays what you put into it.
It's the rest of your recording chain (mic, preamp, soundcard) that makes the sound.
If you use a $30 mic into an on-board soundcard or SBLive, you're not going to get studio quality....
