Well, dobro AND all the Ralph Stanley and Mahalia Jackson I've been listening to lately. Is it idiotic for an atheist to love gospel music so much?
But really, it wouldn't have occured to me to try this without hearing "fidel". So dobro can get the blame for my raggedy-ass unadorned voice being thrust on y'all.
Anyway, I decided to give it my all and see how good a vocal sound I could get without resorting to tons of reverb, which I'm having less and less use for lately. I'm more interested in comments on the sound, since I know I'm no acapella singer. How's the tone on your system?
I agree with you about the less is more for vocal treatments.
Lately I,ve been using less and less reverb.
Tom Waits eh
Maybe Ralph Stanley when he was younger........
I'd never have the guts to do it, but I thought you pulled it off.
Way to Go groucho

Thanks for the listen Hevy. I'm not so deluded as to think I've exactly got the vocal equipment for this kind of thing - it was more of an excercise in recording voice - but cool if you thought it worked as a tune as well.
Bill: Thanks for the listen. Man, the last thing we wanna do is open up *that* can around here... But to answer your question: yeah, I don't believe in nothin' up above. Plenty to believe in down here though. Plenty of mystery too.
