First off I'm not a good singer. I'm just posting this as a test really to get some feedback or suggestions on what I should do as far as eq goes to my voice. These are two completely dry acapella takes of the first verse of that Jeff Buckley song.

take 1

take 2

I'm singing into a v67g into an ART tps running into a 2496
I dont have any monitors.

I can hardly hear a thing, even with my laptop speakers cranked up.

I suggest you "normalize"

You dont have decent levels. This will have to be retracked at a hotter level, somewhere cclose to 0db or a little under.......then you might want to normalize.I dont think normalizing will do anything for these tracks.....they are much to weak to work with.

hmm ok I know nothing about mixing or recording and it shows I will try to redo this crap when I get home. Its very loud on my computer speakers when I play it in winamp.

I'll try the suggestions you guys mentioned. I didn't want to mess around too much with anything because I wanted the sound to be completely raw.

Sorry bout the mix up, and thanks for trying to listen.
