Absolute Filepath vs Relative Filepath

Hi

When you save a ProTools session, the links to audio files etc are stored with absolute filepaths. Is there any way to alternatively do this with relative filepaths.

This is a big issue for me. When I'm finished a session I'd like to move it to an external disk or move it to a "completed" or "archive" folder so that my Work In Progress folder contains just those tracks I am currently working on.

But of course once I move it, it's shagged, because the links are wrong.

Suggestions?

Instead of physically dragging the folder over to the external disk. Try "Saving copy In" from the File menu within pro Tools.
