About Windows "Millenium" and home recording...

Seems I came across post recently somewhere in this forum where the poster stated he found dramatic improvements in his system's performance after upgrading to Millenium..

I'm curious what opinions and experiances others may care to share in regards to using Millenium for editing software..

Im running the original version of Windows 98 at the moment..

I also read about somone tweeking Win ME in the Cubase Forum.

Im using ME at the moment and there are no initial improvments at the moment?
I would also like to find out more.

Some manufacturers (such as M-Audio/Midiman) has written special new drivers for WindowsME/2000 which use a new API that has lower latency than other versions of windows. The results are real, but not significant for the way most people record.
