Ableton Live or Suite?

Like the title mentioned, I'm wondering which version of Ableton to get.
I have a Akai LPD8 laptop pad and would like have a bigger variety of sounds and beats to choose from. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure you need Ableton? I got a copy of it with my MIDI keyboard and just couldn't wrap my head around it. I just purchased Mixcraft 5 after downloading the 14 day trial version based on another users recommendation. Great program! Like Garage Band for PC!

If you are planning on getting any hardware like a mixer - I would wait because a lot of them come with DAW software free
