Aark24 vs Layla24

Ive been looking into recording with my computer. I think Ive narrowed the audio cards down to two: The Aark24, and Layla24. I dont really need all the inputs, as much as I do the outputs, and midi. Though the inputs wont go to waste. I think the Aark24 comes with somthing called Samplitude Basic $600. The Layla24 comes with Cool Edit Pro $700. Anyone have any opinions, and or experience with these two audio cards?
Any feedback is appreciated!

From what i've read here, it seems that cool edit pro is what is more commonly used -- you'll probably get more out of the layla/cool edit combo.

I had goodluck with Layla before I switched it works well and sounds decent. I liked her ;-) I can't say much about the Aark24 however haven't worked with it enough to know.

I know my post isn't really a ton of help heh but at least its a vote for Layla from exp....

I think it sounds awesome. The new 24 bit layla should sound better than this so you know what kind of quality to expect
