Aardvark Q10 Which Drivers ASIOorAWDM

HEy anyone know which drivers are faster or better for the q10 in windows 2000...is it the asio or awdm...I can't tell from the website and I just don't know.

I am using n-track right now if that matters, but I am looking more for a "these are better" regardless of app.

i'd prolly say ASIO is better cuz its more mature and not made by microsoft
 
I believe that what driver you use is dictated by the recording software. I don't know if ASIO and WDM are NECESSARILY mutually exclusive, but in practice they seem to be. For example, Sonar uses WDM, but not ASIO. I'm pretty sure N-Track uses ASIO.

As for which is better, they seem to be about the same. Both give < 10 ms latency, which for all practical purposes means DXi effects and synths are instantaneous.
