I am very close to getting the Aardvark Direct Pro Q10 but before I do, I want to make sure that it is the BEST way to go. I want to be able to record 8 tracks simultaneously of XLR and/or 1/4" and want to have the very BEST interface. I have been juggling the idea of getting either the Q10 or the Delta 1010. Any suggestions, comments, feedback?!! BTW, I'm using Sonar on a PIV 1.6GHZ with 512MB RAM and 2 40GB HD's at 7200RPM's on Win2k.
Thanks,
Carlos

I have no complaints with the Q10 what soever. It is easy. You plug it in and it works with no hassle and no mixer. Great mic pres too. Very quiet and neutral to my ears. I actually just got done tracking a project where I had to crank the gain up to nearly 70db for my Sennheiser 441U. Which is an amazing mic but notoriously needs lots of gain.

I say get it and you'll be happy.

Got one and I love it. I use CW PA 9.0 with a 700MHz PIII and get great results with it.

First, I checked out Delta1010 primarily to track drums but it didn't work on my "e-machine". So I tried MOTU 1224 which didn't work either. Finally, I exchanged it for Q10, it worked!, and I never regret. I love the quality and ease of use too. With Delta you still need to buy 8 mic pres. Q10 save me a lot of money. I have two-year old LynxOne -two analog inputs - paid $500+mic pres. Q10 -8 inputs- paid $750.... You know why I just love Q10... :D

Thank you for the replies; looks like the Q10 will be on my letter to Santa this year.
