hi
I have a problem 'cose I don't know which card to choose.
I am thinking about Aadvark pro 24/96 (570) and midiman delta 66 (300) + midiman preamp (170USD)
I 've read about dvark a lot and it must be really good card but there seems to be some probs with compressor and so on ..
accourding to what some guys wrote on the group.
I 'd like to use my card in recording all chanel at the same time as well as use gigasampler and directx program synths.
Delta has a lot of drivers but ...
what should I do with it, which card is better, who should I trust - midiman or aadvark?
I count on your help guys
thanks a lot

Honestly it is a fact that the compressors do not work worth a crap (it does not perform as the controls (Threshold, ratio) should. If you are like me and are interested in shelling out the extra $300 to get a complete unit as the Aardvark was advertised then i would suggest you learn from my mistake and buy the delta plus a preamp and compressor.

The Aardvark is nice, and would be certainly worth it if the compressor worked, but unfoutunatley, contrary to what the mass of promotionals and ads for the Aardvark would lead you to believe, - it is not and all in one soution and - to quote Aardvarks ad for the direct pro - it does NOT

"Add professional punch to your bass and drum tracks to get a massive sound that rivals that of the world's top professional studios. Almost any track comes alive with the smooth and natural sounding circuits that are included in the Direct Pro 24/96, completely eliminating the need to buy an outboard compressor."

The previous is what you'll hear from AArdvark concerning the unit....but.....try it yourself...
