hELLO,
I got a MIDIMAN USB/MIDI interface card connected to my PC. I have the interface connected to my ROLAND JV1010 synth module.
How do I route my tracks to the synth? I don't see an option on SONAR under "options--->MIDI devices". All I see there is the SBLIVE MIDI UART.

I know that the drivers are present for the MIDIMAN which I installed. I also see the USB light light up on the MIDIMAN box, which means the device is communicating with the PC.

I am brand new to MIDI and synth modules. Can anyone give me a jump start?
Thanks

Do you have the Midiman MidiSport?
1x1
2x2
4x4
8x8
When it's on, is the green usb light pulsating?
If it is, then it is connected correctly.
If it is solid green, try to unplug it and replug it while the computer is still on.

If you have the MidiSport 2x2 connected correctly,
in SONAR under "options--->MIDI devices you should see
Inputs:
In-A USB MidiSport 2x2
In-B USB MidiSport 2x2

Outputs:
Out-A USB MidiSport 2x2
Out-B USB MidiSport 2x2

If you don't then try to reinstall the lastest MidiSport drivers from the website and make sure the green USB light is pulsating and not solid green.

Hope this helps,

A1MixMan

Thanks A1Mixman!
I have a MIDISPORT 2x2. And the USB light on this device IS pulstaing.
On SONAR I do not see the MIDIMAN on the "input" or "output" devices. As per your advise, I will download their drivers now.
Thanks again!

Man, I hope you get it working

I hate to post this , but I had so much trouble with the midisport USB, I worried about Midiman's drivers and I thought twice about getting a Delta -1010 (which is running fine BTW).
Here's my story. I had Win98SE on my pc with Sonar. I installed the midisport and it worked. Also in conjunction with a soundblaster. So I had 3 discrete midi ports. Awesome. I upgraded to Win2K because a lot of people recommended it (WDM drivers, etc.) Guess what? No go on the Midisport. I went to the Midiman website (because this is a Midiman problem not a Sonar one) and I followed their TWENTY-TWO step procedure for uninstalling the previous driver, reinstalling again, blah blah blah. I did it twice. No go.

Keep in mind it DID work ok on Win98SE, but my problems started with it on Win2000. And my USB port works fine. I use it with my digital camera.

Sorry I can't be more help. If you find a solution please post it, but it sounds like you have the same problem I had.

As per A1mixmans advise I re-installed the driver, and now i can see the MIDIMAN in the SONAR MIDI device settings. It worked.
When I play a midi track I can see the MIDI light blink(on both the synth and also the midiman device) in sync with the track I am playing. But I can't hear any sound though. I am still fiddling with it. Thanks A1mixman.

ChuckU sorry you had a rough time with the device. i agree that their software has got some bugs. If I come across more problems I will write here. Thanks for the support!
