Hey I was wondering about the tascam 428 and its compadibility with CEP(AA). I really want this device but I am concerned with latency. Anyone use this device?

I use it but don't use the audio routing. Mine is plugged into the USB port on the computer which allows me to have a control surface but I route audio through a sound card. I recorded with it (via USB) briefly w/out problems but I like more tracks at once than it will provide. Other than that, there are no issues w AA 1.5 that I've found.

I think I may just have 1.0, but I constantly use my 428 with it without any problem. Latency usually appears after recording, but is easily corrected (drag tracks to align with starting point). I think there's even an option to turn off the correction if needed. This might not have answered your question--I understand there's myriad other concerns with latency out there, but for my applications, it's never presented a real problem.
