hey!

hey!

:)

i hope youre not blaming ME for the cheapie preamp thread...

:)

one of the greatest threads in forum history...

:)

Hey Jeap -- haven't seen you around here lately (hell, for that matter, I haven't been around much either)

I've always dug your stuff. Very original and inventive. I really like this, kind of has a real lazy feel to it that sounds good in the morning.

I would like to hear your drums a little more out front. They are a bit drowned out by the guitar. By the way, how are you miking the kit? Just curious...

Not a bad tune. It has that certain "quirkiness" that fits many of your tunes which I like!

Thanks for posting, man!

:D

Definitely quirky, I liked it a lot.

You had me rolling with the line, this could be something great with more lyrics in there.

THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!!!

:)

uuuuh yeah!

:)

i have completely given up the pretense of singing for the time being!!!

:)

its kind of a religious theme right? but not offensive to anybody?

:)

hey! i spent a lot of time making the guitar level just right so youre freaking me out by saying its too loud. i made a special attempt and tried very hard to make sure that it wasnt too loud!!!

:)

the drums are done by putting an sm57 in the vicinity of the set and pointed away from the set and a AT kick mic inside the bass drum. i like the way it turned out except i kept my foot too heavily on the hihat pedal which i did last year too so i have to try to remember not to do that. let the hihats move a little next time.

:)

thank yous for the kind words lynx and doctor j.

:)

i didnt want to make it longer with more words this is just a way to show off on guitar. somebody is supposed to say i am a good guitar player!!!

:)

i actually really like the drum kit sound........that one cymbal has a bit too much high end sparkle i think.........i like the tripped out vibe going a lot..........

really cool jeap.....good to have you back

im sure glad i rated this 5 stars before somebody else rated it 1 star cause it would

:)

have been a bummer to see only 1 star!

:)

a cymbal??? i tried to hit the crash at the end but i muffed it ha ha ha you cant even hear it.

:)

you must mean the cabasa thing which is metal beaded thing on a ribbed metal thing on a stick. i put that on offbeats to give a sophisticated worldbeat feel. i loaded it up with reverb too. too much jizz?

:)

i am going to try to make the hihat sound better and maybe turn the drums up on the next one cause i like the way theyre turning out with this weird mic technique.

:)

Ok :) jeap :)

Seems :o like :o there :o are :o some :o timing :o issues :o in
:o here :p

The snare sound is not unlike a typewriter sound... guitar playing
is O.K.. leads are fine, but maybe mixed too loud. This needs better
drums. Not bad for being away for so long. :)

huh!

:)

i would like to see your typewriter that sounds like my snare.

:)

if i didnt have timing issues i could be a drummer!

:)

i forgot to do my hihat pattern on the intro but then i remembered and switched. it was the first take and when i listened back i liked the snare sound so much i kept it. really close to my ideal snare sound. i dont like the hihat sound tho i had my foot on the pedal too hard.

:)
