OK y'all, thanks for all the help that you have given me on this tune. I have taken it as far as I can without Studio Monitors. So, until I get some, this is the official Demo version.

A friend gave me settings for output compression last week after asking me what settings I was using. I tried and it blew me away the way it pulled everything out in the mix. I have completely re-mixed this tune because of what I heard. LOL

My 1st listen to this song. Got the Thrill is Gone feel to it musically speaking. From what I heard on my speakers is the cymbals were not "ringing" so to speak (a little muddy). The vocals sound pretty good over here, very clean for a raspy voiced singer/talker. Considering the cheap speakers your mixing this with, not bad at all. I just have one question....

What the hell is "Yahweh"? is that a native american name for something else?

Just curious, Charva

Charva;

Hey! Thanks for the listen and comments. I appreciate it, man!

Now to your question. Yahweh is God's name in Hebrew. :) Glad ya asked!

Blessings!!!

I'm DL'ing it right now.

Man, for some reason, my connection is REALLY slow this morning.
Argh!

Well, it's not really my style...but it sounds like the performance is good, and the recording is good. It remind's me of something off of the Eagle's "One of These Nights" record.

I think you have taken it as far as you can without studio monitors.. :D

it sounds pretty cool, but I remember it being a bit crisper.. seems a bit more dull than before, but at least it's not harsh.. good job for not having monitors.. there are people who have monitors and do much worse!

Nice blues. Sounds great!!

I like the lyrics too.

Guitar solo sounds a little rushed in a couple places to me. (But hey, I can't even play that well, so...). It feels like it should lay back a little bit to fit in with this nice easy blues groove you have going on.

Hey Jag! Thanks Bro! Glad ya like the toon and I especially appreciate that you and others dig the lyrics. It's a strong message and it has surprised me that it has been recieved so well!

The intro Lead on this tune is nice and clean because it's this ol Bluesman's interpretation of "The Calm Before the Storm." The Solo is meant to add emphasis to the storyline, not particularly follow the groove. The winds are starting to blow and blow hard. It was (and is) what I "feel" when I do this tune. :D

Blessings!!!

Forgot to ask... Several commented before about the Kick Bass being lost. Is is audible enough now for the Bloooze fans out there?
