A very newbish question...

I have a MOTU 828mkii running on my main computer. i want to add another PC for soft synths(Reason). i know obviously that rewire is impossible to link up the two computers, but are there any other solutions to hook up 2 computers so the two interfaces on the two pc's are synced? if i'm running Reason on one PC and Cubase on the other, how can i make both of them work? once again, i'm not talking about rewire.
 
well, PC you can do, err. whats it called.

my boss uses it. it's basically for midi stuff i think, i'm not really sure, but he does DFH Superior through it.

it's a little tricky to get going if i remember correctly (much yelling those days..)

but it works to my knowledge.

also, cubase has something called VST Link or something like that. ive never done it, i cant get cubase to work with my Digi002- stupid thing won't let me set the ADAT clock source to ADAT/External instead of Internal, so i cant use it.. i'll stick with PT..

of course, how else would i feed my gear slutting.

i actually have two bosses, gotta keep the money flow.

i'm even the field manager at my store. yes, i gave myself that title! but i have been working there (small music store) for 2 years now so i have signority, and when we opened our second location, i felt i deserved a title!

how can you be into recording and not have a job???

mom and pop must really like you. ;)
