(forgive me on my severe basic lack of knowledge, by i am just a bedroom producer from the UK......
)
Iv'e got a whole track that i want to play around with which is in wav format. I can't do anything with it with regards to splitting the sounds up as i have no midi files, just the whole track complete. (I am only using the editing package Soundforge 4.5, with 'Reason' software.)
I want to try adding an extra snare sound into certain bars with maybe a couple of extra sounds. I'm not removing anything as i know this can't be done, but just want to add sounds to what i already have.
How do i find out the overall tempo in bpm of the track i have? Is there a way of taking a snap shot of a loop so it can tell me the speed in bpm. Because i want to put this track into cubase/reason, at the correct bpm, so i can start cutting up bars from it and basically play around with the track.
Can anyone help?
