A Source For Belts (Maybe)

Diamond Rio Monitors
Hello,

I am like a bunch of others, looking for belts for older machines.
I may have found a source for belts. I placed an order last night, let me get these belts in and see if they are gonna work then I will post a link to where I got them.......what you need to know is the inside circumference of the belt you are looking for and if it is round or square or flat.

This source doesn't sell a belt the says " TASCAM 244 " but if you know the details of the belt you can probably just order the correct size. I will report back.

I ordered some belts ( I think ) for a Fostex 280..........
I'll let everyone know if this is a good source or not.

Regards

DS

You need to know is the inside circumference of the belt. That is if you cut the belt and laid it out straight, how long it is. On an older belt that may have stretched, subtract about 20%. Or if it is still intact lay it out and measure then double that.

That is what I did. And everything seems cool.

There is also McMaster (www.mcmaster.com) who sells a lot of belts.
You can basically select your belt per:
- material: neoprene, etc
- lengs
- thickness
- diameter

They sell all sorts of belts: round, flat, etc.
The URL for the main belts section is http://www.mcmaster.com/#drive-belts/=4y3ae6

The site was a little bit messy until they recently made the interface much easier.

When you get to their main page, click Power Transmission. Rest is obvious...

Hope this helps,

David.
