a sound here and there and nowhere

what is going on
i play my keyboard hooked up to a q10
i select an audio track in cubase SX to record on.
on the keyboard i pick a song in Sequence mode
i record it as one audio track in cubase and then a little while later i can no longer hear the song from the keyboard nor can i hear keys being played
i have to have a midi track enabled in order to hear my keyboard playing again

i keep on having to switch Local Control ON and Off

the same thing happens when i try to record a midi track first

and sometimes i can't hear anything when the keyboard is in Sequencing mode , but can hear in other Functions of my Synth

Do i need a midi interface I'm using the Midi In and Out on the Q10
Has anyone experience this

i think it could be a setting in the soundcard
cuz no audio is sent to cubase when i try to record i can't see any wave rendering
but in midi with the instrument Local Control set to Off i can play and record and playback
it's like cubase lets me record one audio track and i lose my audio connection everything has to go thru midi in order to to continue or restart the computer
and when i lose audio even the audio track already recorded can't be heard

is there a known issue with Aardvark Q10
