The one thing I am going to miss now I'm moving over from Reason to Cubase is the trusty Scream distortion unit. IMO one of the most usefull and versatile things in Reason.

Can anyone suggest a nice distortion unit similar to the Scream one in Reason in VST plug in format?

Cheers

:)

I want to be able to Process VSTs and Midi.

As fasr as I'm aware theres no send/return type function in Rewire,

you could load the track you wan't to process into one of the reason samplers and rewire it back into cubase.

mhh,
the built in distortion plugs of cubase sx 2.0 are useful sometimes,
but there's other stuff out there

i heard that SLAYER VST is just a sick distortion plugin,
ozone Trash should be great too
revolver, no revalver i think, thats an amp simulator thing, i once used it,
was rather noizy but yeah, lots of options to create your own distortion sound, fun, but not very high Q i think

i didn't use slayer or trash, but heard good things about it,
definately about slayer !

i'd say; leave reason and concentrate on cubase,
its a big step up

You might wanna check some guitar amp modeling plugs aswell. They may shape the sound, but most of the time you can turn things like speaker simulation off, leaving you with just a preamp to overdrive as you wish.
