Yeah sounds good man mix wise.
Not sure but you could maybe try taking some lo end out of the guitars or maybe a small cut with wideish Q at 150-200Hz area to clean up the tone a bit.
Like the snare. Is that a sample? sounds very consistent in sound and dynamics.
Good stuf Dogman.
Thanks, dude. Yeah, drums are a sample. I think RAMI will do some real ones soon. I need to see what he needs. I'm going to play with the eq a bit when I get back home, and try your suggestions. I've been having some trouble with killing the sound, but have been taking too much out.
Thanks again.
Ed

I can't compare all 4 bass tracks because I only had time to listen to no.1 before leaving for work this morning. But I did like what I heard from that one.

Dogman, I'll do the drums no problem. But I have a couple of tracks to do for EVWANNABE first. I'l let you kow when I'm ready to do yours, which shouldn't be later than Thursday...maybe Friday.

Here is a sample rythum of a song I am working on with Cellardweller. I'm searching for a guitar tone, and trying to get the bass to fit properly. The drums will be replaced, or at least made to sound better, but just a guide for now. There will also be some replaced guitar sounds, when CD gets a chance to, and then we will work out the vocals. No scary singin yet.... :D

Sample
Any thoughts???

Thanks.
DOG, I am in process of downloding Snakedogs additions, and listening, and being on crappy dial-up, I am sure I will be a while! :D

I like your sample. My favorite part is the sustain at the very end. That sounds really cool. Hope you leave that in for the ending. ;)

Drums seem lagging behind in energy, but I like the rides! and yeah,as was said by Incanus, a busier bass.

I must of killed the download, I have been waiting over 30 min!

I will have to start over, I may just have to go back to bed and stay there today. I am budbraining all over the place!! :D

Thanks, True. I think RAMI is going to do some drums for me in a bit, so this will end up being a real collab....at least 4 of us on it. Should be cool, for such a simple tune.

Yeah its hard to judge changes sometimes.
I was in the studio tonight for the last time ever at college :( and remixed "Blinded", but I added too much high end on the distorted guitars so will now have to fix that at mastering.

Hey Dogman great guitar sound. I think you've got a good balance of the mic and DI sound. Good and heavy, a really full sound. Snakedog, the bass sounds cool too. Can't wait to hear the finished version!

So DOG, will you be posting the one with Ramis' drumtrack tonight? I can not seem to get those other downloads.

No, it will be later. I haven't even really talked to him about drums. He said he might have time later this week, and I haven't even found out exactly what he needs yet. Wait a few days, and then I will post something if he and SnakeDog have some time to get some tracks together. Thanks for the intrest though. You are too cool.

Yeah, I'm in like Flynn. I have one more song to do for EVWANNABE, I think, which I'll do tomorrow, then I'll do this one Thursday or Friday at the lastest. And then I will have to get back to my own dribble.

Oh by the way, as far as what I need depends on if you want to have my drums seperate so you can mix the song later. If that's the case, I'll need a version of the tune plain and simple, with the drums. I'll use your drum track as a click ad play along with it. That way you'll get back my drum track and you can sinc it with your tracks minus the drums.
If you wanted me to mix my drums in and send you back a mix of the song, then I'll need a version without the drums, so I can play to it and then mix them together. I think I shouldn't mix it. I should just play, send you back my drum tracks, then you can finish it. I think Snakeman should prucude it...he's a little twisted, I like that in a producer. :)

Im am the RAMI hog! Sorry dogman! lol he even spelled my name right.....I can't even do that

hes just too good.............

guitars sound awesome! Very big! I liked the tone as well.

This is my kind of forum.......everything revolves around more beer!!! I don't think I have recorded anything that didn't involve atleast a six pack......lol

keep rocking man!

Love the guitar tones. Don't change as thing. Bass is a little round and muddy, just a twinge of punch in the upper mids. Drums sound lossy, is it analog recording?

Snake, I liked them all, but number 1 was really cool for this tune. 4 is killer also, as it adds a different feel in there. I think you mixed 1 in the best, as this song really needs some bass to carry it along, and my playing was just too lame. Try it with 1 or 4, and we'll get it mixed in pretty loud, and see what happens...
Thanks, man.
Ed

Cool dog, I'll record the full song with version 1 and another one with version 4 in the next few days and post them. Do you want me to just give you the individual bass tracks so you can adjust the mix easily?

Cool. Can you use this track, or do you want something different?

Thanks, dude. SnakeDog is going to fix the bass up, and RAMI will fix the drums. Should be a killer tune then.

Cool. I'd like the individual tracks to mix. I could also post individual tracks for you, if you wanted to mix them also.
