Hello everyone!

I own a 5 y/o Fender American Standard Tele' that's bone stock. The neck pickup currently has the chrome cover on it which I believe has it's own grounding wire apart from the pickups 2 leads. I'm going to be replacing this pickup with Rio Grande Muy Grande that does not have a cover. Do I need to ground this new pickup in any particular fashion other than the usual positive/negative?

No. In fact, remove the cover. Also, i've got the Vintage Tallboys in my Tele. Absolutely wonderful pickup. The Muy's are a little hotter. They've got a bite. I've done a tour of the factory here in Houston. Great people.

Just replace the pickup w/ the pick up. Black to black, white to white.

Thanks for the help! Now I just need to go and buy some new Pots since the stock Fender ones in it now are quite flimsy. They actually have side-to-side play in them. D'oh!
