Have any of you had problems with recording directly through the Bass DI? Whenever I try it, I get what appears to be a good signal (as far as the VU meters show) but I cant hear it, its like it has very little volume. However it seems that if I adjust (up) the bass & treble knobs it helps but I end up with distortion through my speakers, even at what appears to be low volume. It also seems to be going through just the left speaker, not both. BTW, I'm recording it directly into a Delta66 audio card, through my drummachine that has an input with left and right outputs so I can use two of the inputs on the Delta66 to get it in stereo. It works fine this way with my SansAmp GT-2 with my regular guitar, but not with the bass DI. I think the way that I'm only hearing it through the left speaker is a big part of the problem. Any ideas, anyone?

Howdy;

I've had no problem with my little old 414. You may want to make sure the blend control is full right so the hole signal of the di is hitting your machine.

Good Luck;

That's another thing, I tried messing around with the blend control and I got a better signal when it was more on the left side than the right. In another post someone said that maybe the DI is sending many low frequences that I cant hear, that may be why the signal strength shows up good but I cant hear it. I tried raising the bass and treb to compensate for it and then I ended up as I mentioned above.

Dabluesman;

Where are you running the drive? You might want to try backing off the drive and boosting the trebel & Bass.
Are you useing a battery or a wall wart, and is the wall wart the right voltage and polarity? My Bassdriver is brainless, where ever the dials are sonds good, tweeking makes it better. Maby there is a problem in the box.

Hope I'm offering some help;
RussP

I've tried it with the drive set anywhere between 8:00 and 12:00, it didnt seem to matter too much. I'm using a battery. Another strange thing is that it sounds great through my bass amp.
