Hi all,

This is my first post here, but i've been reading your topics for quite some time. But i couldn't find an answer to my question, that's why i created this thread.

My problem: I've bought a Waveterminal 192M Soundcard. What i wanted to do is record multiple tracks simultaniously (my english sucks).
When i am using cubase vst or cool edit pro, i can select what i want to record at every track. But the thing is: I can't select the inputs apart (like line in 1 on track 1, line in 2 on track 2 etc), as you can see at the picture..

Can anybody help me please?

Stereo grouping is very standard for sound cards. Practically all sound cards group them as 1-2, 3-4, etc.

I'm not sure what you're asking for. You CAN record separately...it's just track 1 is the left of the first stereo bunch and track 2 is the right of the first stereo bunch...etc.

First, don't use the multichannel.
Use 1/2, 3/4 etc.
Select the track to be mono to get input 1 to one track, another mono track for input 2 and so on.
The odd-numbered channels correspond to the Left of 1/2, 3/4 etc and the even-numbered to the Rights.
1 = 1/2 left
2 = 1/2 right
3 = 3/4 left
4 = 3/4 right
5 = 5/6 left
etc...

Sorry, i think i haven't made this clear enough.
On the picture you see these channels:
1-2
3-4
5-6
7-8

But, i don't believe this are inputs. That's the strange thing. My breakoutbox does only have 2 mics and 2 stereo line in's, and 8 OUTPUTS.
So i can select the outputs for recording seperatly, but this doesn't work, of course.. The strange thing is that there are no options for selecting the INPUTS like this:
Mic 1
Mic 2
3-4
5-6

I hope i have made myself clear now.
Thanks for your reactions though.

Uhm...I'm not sure.

Only thing I can think of right now is that the 192M offers virtual (extra) inputs via the e-wire settings. I've not used the 192M specifically and this thing you're describing is weird. I guess ESI's customer support hasn't helped you out yet?

Do the first 2 pairs (1/2, 3/4) work? The others may be for an extra add-on expansion card.
