Hey everyone, this is the band I am in and we are looking for some feedback on our music. This is a demo we (3 of us) recorded on my AKAI DPS 16 and it is mastered. Please have a listen at www.cdbaby.com/blackfall and tell us what you think!!! thanks again, and sorry but CDbaby is the only site we have our music on. OUR website (www.blackfall.com) will be up SOON!!! (hopefully) thanks for any feedback!!!!, the dude abides!!!

well, what do you think blue bear??? let me know. sorry about the post in the wrong section. later

Post this in the Clinic, you'll get more listens. Anyways, I listened to the first one. I couldn't stand the lo fi play so I used "Play all". Sounds great to me, very lively.

I liked the songs but the quality is a bit sketchy. Very weak and phasey sounding. The vocals really get burried in the mix. It's better than a lot of home stuff but there's definately room for improvement.

hey texas!! cdbaby is very lo fi! try the hi fi play all and it soudns fucking wicked!! this thing is MASTERED and rips in any player. sorry that the lo fi sucks, but I can assure you that it sounds good. later man, the dude.

I thought I did do Hi Fi but I'll try it again when I'm home and make sure.

cool man, let me know. it sounds fine on my comp. when I do hi fi! later

i can't really hear the vocals.......well i can hear them enought to tell that they sound pretty good, but not enough to be able to understand the words or even hear all the words.

i actually just heard the second song and the vocal levels on that one are a little better.......but could still be louder

the quality of the recording is pretty good though

I had a listen to your tunes on hi-fi option.

You guys are very talented, musically, and I'm very impressed with how tight you play. Everyone is just dead on the beat at all times. You guys play very percussively, and you're able to deliver it all off with confidene, deliberation, urgency, etc.

No one really seems to hold anything back, performancewise, including the shakers. :D There's just a real sense of urgency and intensity to everyone's playing on every track.

My only complaint is that there really isn't any letup. After the first few songs, I'm already tired out from listening. Maybe you could use a song or two where everyone's just a little looser, less intense, less exact, etc. Maybe throw in a goofoff, comical-type ditty that you make up on the spot with little to no structure, that kind of falls apart at the end and everyone kind of laughs at themselves. (Listen to some stuff by the band "Ween" for inspiration :D ) I realize that's not much of a complaint, but it's all I could come up with.

Okay, after reading the text from that link you provided, I think I can lay my finger on it better now.

I get the sense that you guys, if anything, take yourselves a little too seriously, and that could be your only downfall.

Have fun with it a little more, and I think you could go farther.

this thing is MASTERED and rips in any player. sorry that the lo fi sucks, but I can assure you that it sounds good.

If you're so positive that you band and your "MASTERED" recordings are so fantastic, why would you even bother posting here?

Oh, nevermind....I just saw your thread over in the clinic, and you're clearly a fucking moron.

Of couse, that should have been abundantly clear to me immediately upon seeing the words "a new sound" in your thread title.

hye chess, thanks for the comments. Yeah we are acually trying to take this somewhere. This is a BAND and not just me recording my own stuff. so thats why it (we) sound so serious about it. You kinda have to if you are trying to get people to take you seriously. I know not all bands have to be extremely serious but our music probably wouldnt mix with a comedy style tune. thanks again man OH and MIKEB?? thanks for nothing bro. your a great help.

Oh man, give me a break....go fuck yourself.

You came on here (and to the MP3 clinic) talking yourself up like some pathetic name-dropping salesman, and all you were doing was fishing for fucking compliments rather than the constructive criticism that people are kind enough to offer.

I'll say it again: If you think your recordings are so fantastic, why would you bother posting here? If all you're going to do when you're faced with criticism is talk about how serious your band is and how you're playing a show with members of Pearl Jam or something, you're neither contributing anything to the board nor getting anything from it.

So like I said, fuck off.
