Hello to all. I recorded my bands new song a while back and I've been mixing it for shits and giggles even though the singer is still missing from it:

What would a professional do to that? :) I have mastered it a bit too but nothing radical since I don't know so much about it yet. To me it's missing overall "space." (Obviously nothing is final because the singer will change everything but I'm just bored so humor me) :)

The drums were recorded with this gear:

- Rode NT3 single overhead
- Sennheiser 609 floor tom
- Shure SM58 upper tom
- Sennheiser 602 bassdrum
- Shure 545 Snare
- some old bright as a mofo possibly Peavey instrument mic under the snare

Bass was mic'd with these:

- Sennheiser E602
- Sennheiser E609
- Rode NT3 as a room mic

guitars were mic'd with these and the distorted parts were doubletracked once:

- Sennheiser E609
- Shure SM58
- Rode NT3 as a room mic

The recording gear was a Soundcraft Spirit E8 mixer and an M-Audio Delta 1010LT soundcard. The mixer was used as preamps and nothing more.

sounds pretty shweet to me dude...was hoping for some vocals over the top however..
