well....

I couldn't make out the lyrics very well......

The vox effect is cool for the first ten words...after that,...I would go with a normal metal/hair vocal ala Axyl et al.

Levels are way low....everything sound soft at normal settings on my board....
monitors just are not getting a strong signal...

It's a little repetative but other than that...it rocks man....
leads are very cool.

Rock on,

Thanks for that. Yeah, you are right the levels are too low, mixing never was my strong point. I've just compressed the hell out of it and re-uploaded it if you care to download and listen again, it is certainly a lot louder and more 'glued' than it was before.

thanks

Jon

Well then I take it I just listened to the "newer" version.
Volume of the track seemed ok here. I could hear a bit of the compression..esp. at the guitar breaks...but really no big deal. I could've used more bass man. The low end I was hearing was coming from the guitars, which by the way sound good. Well recorded too...nice balance on the leads. The actual solo that you do is kinda cheesy. That repetitive pull off on the high E string sounds thin and cheap. Some nice ideas in the solo tho man, I just think you need to "develop" your solo a little bit better.
The opening vocal...well wtf? Sounds like you were trying to go for that "Iron Man" sound. I'd scratch that mofo. I'd rather hear some screaming angry guy than that fake azz chit.
Keep on keepin' on man.

Honest to God...the picture I couldn't get out of my head was one of Chewbacca singing an 80's metal ballad.

After he exited the scene, it was cool. Nice guitar work.

The whole mix is kinda' tubby in the low mids, but not bad. Sounds like T-Racks (or some mastering plugin) destruction.

I've spent a little time today checking out tunes in the mp3 clinic, and I gotta say this is the best I've heard so far today.

cool, dude

Very nice guitarwork....the sound you captured is a the sound I am trying to get with my system...like the solo work also....tasteful and nice.
The vocals...well...not up my alley at all...but wtf, its your song.

Hey, Dilbert.

Is there a theological influence here?

It's pretty cool, I think. Not a bad mix and interesting musically.

That Chewbacca comment is funny. Yeah, that effect is a little too much. Unless, of course, it's the vocalist's actual voice!
