drums sound incredible!

i have not comments. this is outstanding!

drums sound awsome!

i like the drums.

those drums kick ass!

Erichenryus, Gorbyrun, Dan, thanks my friends.

Wow that totally reminds me of stuff like Death Angel and that whole dark metal era. Great recording! How'd you gat that kick drum to sound like that?

Rats, I sent you a PM. as far as the sound goes, The drum has the most to do with the overall sound but mic wise, It's D-112's inside the kick and at4033's outside about 3' out in front.

This one goes to ELEVEN! Track Rat, you DO have the drum recording thing down. The drummers performance here is really good--the guy can play. I'm sure that makes your job easier. The whole thing sounds pro to me. And this is a rough and unfinished mix?! Can't wait to hear the final when you get it done.

At the risk of sounding repetitive, those are some powerful drums. Very nice indeed. Well played too. Good guitar work - playing and recording.

The singer didn't do it for me. I'm not sure what it is, just something about the way he gets words out that I didn't like. He can hit some notes though.

Good job overall.

You guy's rock!
Guitar work was great, real catchy riffs.
Some real talent going on there!

I don't dig metal too much,but I can listen to a good song anytime!:D

Track Rat...."You Da Man"!!!!!

An incredible mix...damn you get all those instruments so clear...it sounds amazing!!!
I don't think you need to keep your day job!!!!

WOW, power rules!!!

Holy slam dance, Batman!!! Kllr riffs and exceptional definition in the recording! it's almost TOO clean for this kind of music, I'm not used to being able to hear the nuances of cymbal ride coloring in this sort of song... The master is RIGHT on the ragged egde in terms of clipping, mostly on the low tom mic, and it has some encoding artifact, but man, you can still tell it's a great recording!

Killer Krunch, my man!!!

Cheers!
Phil

Your recordings so awsome Mike... Is that Robert Plant on vocals.. nice vocals! I would say this style is early 80's deep purple.. oh well... sounds nice ..great job man!

Holy cow gentlemen, I'm humbled! I'm dying to get this one finished but we've started writing and recording around six more new ones. I guess I'll be dropping back on this one in a while to get it finished as far as the rest of the parts goes, and then try to mix the bulk of the songs when everything has been tracked so they'll have some continuity. Again, thanks for the listens and kind words. Maybe I ain't too old to rock & roll.
By the way, we were kicking around names for the band and so far, for the recording we're going as O.D.O.M.

Track,

Really great sound you got there!!

What can I say about the drums, fantastic!!

GT

Yup. It's a 4001 into a Hughes & Kettner BATT. I like drums.:D :D :D

T.R.

Great sound. Is this homerecording??.
You know I'm a drummer, so how do you track those killing drums, what about the setup (brand, sizes, cymbal brands).
Thumbs up for guitar and vocal sound.!!!

Thanks Tama. Yes, its home recorded. Check out about half way down the first page of this thread. I run down the mics and preamps on the drums. It was a Yamaha kit except for the snare which is a custom one of a kind prototype maple. Two rack toms, floor tom, two crash, a china boy and a ride. Single kick with double pedels.

Very nice. I just love Folk Music!
How do you get all that SOUND in there without your gear exploding? I think I'll take up golf.:D

Bob

Wow!. That´s why I was thinking that the snare was electronic or triggered.
Excellent job TrackRat!!!

this sounds good man...

reminds me of my yngwie days a bit...

hehe, antares ball squeezer, so true..
