I am thinking of adding a mixing desk to my DAW (Cubase SX2 & 8 ins/out soundcard).
I am not sure if this is common practice nowadays for home studios.
I only record one track at a time so do not necessarily need multiple inputs in a desk (even though they have them), but I would like to have a hands on mixing consol so that I can send 8tracks out from my sound card to eq and mix and then send a stereo mix back into cubase for recording to the hard disk.
I would prefere an analog desk rather than just a controller.
I would also want to be able to patch in a external reverb and maybe a compressor.
