anyone know a decent mixer with 4 mix inputs, and 4 outputs (for example, that i can plug into my soundcard to get 4 sperate tracks up on my comp (simultaneously).. ?

maybe something comparable with a behringer mx802a ($100)

thanks

A Mackie 1202VLZ can do that. It has inserts on the four channels with mic preamps plus the Alt 3/4 output buss for grouping.

right now i have a garbage soundcard. My next step is mixer with 4ins/outs and decent soundcard as well.

Then, i'll be happy. lol.

actually - anyone know one with 4 INS and just 2 OUTS (stereo outs)? that'd be ideal...what would my use of 4 outs be anywho? haha

thanks again

Actually, you can get 4 outputs out of your 802, if you have no other use for the Aux channels...
If you like the Behringer mixers, the 1604 has 4 outputs and 2 Aux channels. It also has real faders, which are just fun to play with ;). Not a lot of money in the states (You'd choke if I told you how much I paid for it here).

aren....how would i go about using the AUX as outputs though? (right now, i have no use for them...lol). Would i use tape outs or main outs for the other 2...etc?

I'd want to get each Microphone track (the 4 main mono channels) to go out to a Delta 44.

Thanks.

Shackrock -

Simple. You have 4 preamp, that you want to send to 4 different tracks. This will only work if the aux sends are pre-fader, which I'm not sure they are.

Channel 1 - pan hard left
Channel 2 - pan hard right
Use the main output for these.
Channel 3 - Turn Aux send 1 to 0db
Channel 4 - Turn Aux send 2 to 0db

Patch a chord from the aux outputs to inputs 3/4 of the Delta, and there you go.

As I said, it will only work if the Aux sends are pre fader.
If they're not, I think they can be modified by a technician, but I doubt that it would be worth it. A new 1604 is only about 180$, and you could probobly get 60-80$ for your 802.

hmm i see i see

i see...

well on each channel there are 2 aux knobs... pre and post.

should BOTH of THOSE be set to 0?

those are the only aux "send" knobs that i have...the rest are return volumes.

If one is pre and one post, you can only use the pre one, so I guess you'll have 3 outputs :)
Check your manual. I think there is a way to modify the 'post' aux send, so if you're Ok with a solder iron, you should check it out.

alright...well for now i'm adding you to my buddy list on here..so that later (when i actually get my Delta 44)....you can help me out if i need it!

thanks again
