I was just wondering what kind of CDRs that you guys have had the best luck with. I'm speaking of CDRs for burning music. What is the best you've used considering price and quality? Also post the link and place you bought your favorites. If you've bought some bad ones post that too.

cd's

im getting good results with imation from office max, but from what ive read, the re-writtables are not going to get as good of a burn as a regular cd? (no experience to base this on, just others opinions)

I haven't tried alot of different ones, but memorex black work well for me. wal-mart. About 20 bucks for 50 disks.

I mostly use memorex as well. It is also important to consider the burn speed while you are burning. It's best to burn your music at about 4x, or 8x max to ensure the best quality data transfer.

I avoid the no-name or off brands. They are subject to the same drop-out problems as cheap cassette tapes.
I've had the best results with Maxell or TDK. A little more expensive, but worth it. I've also found that if you have a Walgreen's drug store nearby and check the weekly sale ads they sometimes have better buys than Wal-Mart or Office Depot/Office Max/Staples in digital audio CDRs.
And like waitingroom said, the slower the burn speed, the better the result.

I use Taiyo-Yuden, with no print on them. $20. for 50 discs. I believe T-Y developed the discs for CD. As for CDRW's, the high speed Sony 4X-10X seem to work fine in both my VF160 and then in my Pioneer player.

For friend's songs, I've used the Verbatim discs that look like old 45's. Very cute.

I've heard good things about the Taiyo-Yuden ones. I looked at them on americandigital.com and there were three different types. What type do you use?

The first kind I got were from Guitar Center under the Microboards brand name. Then when I wanted a logo printed, I called a company in Texas and they said they use Taiyo-Yuden as well. From them I've gotten both matte and clear finish. All have worked flawlessly -- never a skip on any burn, ever.

I can't comment on which of the three types I've got. But I'd imagine they're all excellent.
