Damn boy,
You been "Moanin and Groanin" again. I think this is fine country music. I listen to a lot of country and I miss some of the older traditional stuff. You got it going on. Tell me about your band and what you play dude.

i was with the Moonlighters till about three weeks ago...they're still trying to decide if they want to stay together"

i play guitar, bass and can peck a little on drums if i have to"
but i ain't no drummer" LOL!

It's another freaking pro. Just kidding. James, it's some great country music, IMO. I like country to. I'm a big bluegrass fan, and played in a local bluegrass band in the 70-80s. Your traditional approach is really refreshing. I like a lot of the new country on the radio now, but some of it is gettin a little slick. A lot of the male singgers sound the same. It's like if he can have a hit sounding like that, then I can too.
I'm ranting. To many beers.

gimme one of them there beers!

singing through these shorts all day is rough!
i know what you mean about todays country music....it seems the CMA likes having three or four Clint Blacks,a few Alan Jacksons and anything that comes in groups.... don't get me wrong they're all good at what they do but having sound alikes" alows them to captilize off eachothers hits....i was recording demos at Alabama Sound Studios in Muscle Shoals in the early 80s when all this was really starting to take hold....i went from cutting demos to being "too" country to record over night....

Some cool 'retro' country. Too much reverb for my taste but I guess that is part of the old country sound. I like traditional country but with a more modern sound like Rick Rubin's Johnny Cash recordings. Pretty cool, though.
