Cooperman,I got that sound out of an old, custom built flange box that I have(maybe it was set to "wah"?? I wouldn't know, blank black panel with knobs, the guy who built it is Dan and he always called it a "Dange box" so I assumed flanging was all it did)... I didn't control it with a pedal (back & forth) I just left it on for that track, but since I always think of wah as a dynamic pedal effect, I didn't see the connection. I do now. ok thanks Brad, that's cleared things up. I can see (or rather hear) what you were doing. If you have a wah, try playing the same thing - but as you play it slowly rock the pedal forward - so basically one cycle of your foot rocking forward fits in to one phrase of the riff. It should sound pretty similiar to what you were getting with your Dange. That's why I said maybe you should score porno music, cos that's what they do - not that...ummm... I would know.. hehe
That sure sounds like a wah, and makes for a really cool sounding part. Very cool tune. I got it stuck in my head already. I love the groove you get going, and I think the ending is fine. Of course, I'm not that great at ending my own songs so what do I know.

I agree that it is indeed a wah effect, it just caught me a little off guard because I wasn't using a pedal. That little box is a mystery.
Oh and coop, when I was beginning guitar, I used to turn down the volume on TV shows and play to the scenes. I was 14 or 15. I think I tried doing that to porn once, but at 14, my interest started focusing on a different instrument than my guitar...
