A little help please!

Hello everyone,

I am a new member in this forum. I just bought a Roland VS2000CD workstation on the music stores advice.

Here is the catch. I live in Japan and I don't have an English Manual.Plus my Japanese is very basic. Roland wants 50 bucks for one, which I guess I can break down and buy.

I am very new to home recording for one. I have been able to lay down as far as 8 tracks. I can play back. all is good. Basically I need help making the effects work. The recording is just too dry. I got into the effects but the volume drops way low and the effects are way too much.

Any simple advice on how to get wet sound?
