n-track studio

hey!
thanks for the warm welcome and nice comment!
this was an experiment on how simple i could cut and get away with it lol! all i'm using is n-track studio and instruments,a touch of n-track reverb....the mic i'm using is a $7 labtec AM-242 computer mic.... for drums i used FruityLoops and that's it!
i'm new to computer and internet music so i was just seeing what i could do with how little
:) James

Excellent! I'm a huge fan of late 50's/early 60's country and this has that great feel. I hear a lot of the Derailers in the music and especially in your voice...not a blatant thing, just a great Bakersfield tone to it.

the fruity loops tones are pretty obvious, but don't distract from the overall track... only geeks like us would notice it. Other than that, it's good, good stuff!

Thanks for posting it, I've enjoyed listening a bunch.

Get out of town! A 7 dollar computer mic? No friggin way! I really enjoyed the tunes. Good job man!

NobleSavage & Charva

NobleSavage and Charva! nice to meet you!
your comments are most welcome and appreciated
i'm not familiar with the Derailers, but it sounds like i need to scrum up a tape and give them a listen!

Charva! i also took a coat hanger and bent it into a circle and stretched panty hose over it to make a wind screen LOL!
and NO I WASN'T WEARING THEM FIRST! LOL!
thanks guys
James

Wow, James,
My wife is missing some panty hose. When were you here man, sorry I missed you. he he he
My favorite country fm station ( I think my radio is stuck there ) did a great April fool this morning. They made out like they change their format to rap and played rap songs from 7 am -9 am.
One of the djs said their fax machine almost blew up.

That Was Cool...

And I will start by saying that this is a GREAT example of what can be done with the so-called "Lower-End" stuff on the market.
Whiach makes me wonder how much we are being ripped off on the "Higher-End" stuff...

I listened to the first song "Just Pillow Talk", and I liked so much of what I heard that the only criticism I have is that the Snare drum sounded like a "Hip-Hop" snare, not a good ol' Country Smack....It bothered me, but may not even be noticed by others.

Great Harmonies, Excellent Lead Vocals.
This is the kinda Country stuff I like, not the watered-down Pop crap that they try to pass off as Country these days.

Thanks for the great listen!
:D

Good recordings man. Very traditional, and kinda cool because of it. You are doing excellent work for having little in the way of gear.

wow! nice to meet you all!

and right on target about the drums! i've had a heck of a time trying to get a decent sound...but so far still the best one i've found..... and it could be that i just havn't figured out how to use it yet LOL!
i had an old drum machine but it's no good...clicks off a few good beats then it goes machine gun on me ROFL!!

Well she must have found the ones I used cause the other morning she was dressing and I was in the bathroom, and I hear her say,"these panty hose smell like mic", and I replied, "MIke who, and why would your panty hose smell like him?" All the while I'm thinking, that James Allen dude been around here again.
