i wanna get the E MU 1212m but the moniters imma get is gonna take both the out puts and i need one for headphones, so i was figureing on getting this sound card http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/s=computer/search/detail/base_pid/701364/ but i dont know if its good or how to hook it to my motherboard anyone can help me

it's a firewire hookup. Does your computer have a firewire port?

You could also get something like the Samson C-Control or the Mackie Big Knob to have the signal routed to your monitors and to headphones.

i dont think it does have one but id rather get the E MU even though if the mudio is better ill buy what i need to use it so yeah

Assuming it's a desktop machine:

Firewire card: $4.99

Granted, I'd probably suggest going with something more in the $15-20 range, but you get the point.
