My brother is a lawyer (sorry) but wasn't sure about this question. ( He mostly does land leases and stuff)

A person approached me about converting some tapes and albums over to CD format for her to use in her dance studio. I was just wondering if this was legal for her (and me) to do...

Also, How much should I charge? She's a friend so I was thinking about 10 bucks per hour of recorded music, which I think is kinda' low. But I don't want to rip her off by charging more than she would pay somewhere else.

Thanks
Dennis

She owns the tapes and records so she has the right to duplicate them for herself.. All you are doing is providing a serivice and the only material goods will be the blank cd's..
