So here is my cover of "Gravity" by John Mayer :)
I need some feedbacks for my vocals and mixing :) Thank you!

I think overall it's a solid attempt, and music-wise you captured the laid back vibe of the song pretty well. The vocals really need loosening up, it sounds like you're throwing up the words. Especially at 2:49, 'oh no!' sounds more like you're about to lose your lunch rather than an ad-lib.

Does your throat hurt / do you feel tired after singing? It really sounds like you're pushing and straining to get 'that sound'. I listened to some of the other songs on your page, and the style fits a bit better, but still sounds like you're trying too hard. I do think the vocals are a bit of a miss on this song though.

agree with eric, the accent is very distracting though, I'd prefer a more american accent even though I'm English myself.

Thank you for the comment! :) The "lose your lunch" comment is so funny though. :)) I'll keep that in mind! Thank you :)

Hi, I think you did a good job with the overall recording and the "vibe" of this one. You specifically asked for vocal feedback, so I'll give some...I think you are very close to sounding very good. The thing I notice is that you are right in pitch on the beginning words/notes of each line, but you tend to drift off pitch for the last word/note of each phrase. To me, it would be better the other way around! You want the last note to be perfect so that people are hearing you nail it. It's kind of the same thing with guitar solos in my opinion...lol. You can play pretty much whatever the hell you want as long as you end on the right note! So...my advice is to really, really, really pay attention to your pitch at the end of each of your vocal lines. I think if you dial that in, your vocal tracks will sound better, and it's a small thing, but should make a huge improvement!

Best,

Dave DeWhitt
