a funzie tune

I did a little tune trying to make it sound like it was some soul guy doing a "square dance" live in a soul club. The horns aren`t loud enough and the vocal is a little too thin but it was fun doing it.

I should add....it's so distorted and clipping that it's not even listenable.
 
yup, I got it too hot when i was takin it from wave to mp3. I love it tho :)

I`ll re-post it a lil cleaner.
 
I re-posted it, a little less room 'verb but it works. I was actually playing with horns trying to get a sound more like the horns from Memphis or Muscle Shoals. I guess I got a little carried away. Maybe my pipe needs cleaning. :)
 
It's still a little hot.....distorting out..maybe Im still getting the first version?

I listened to "Punch_it" and it sounds WAYYYY better sonicly.The levels on it are just right and everything is mixed just right......It has a light jazz feel to it that I dig.....I listen to this kind of stuff all day up until the point I start recording my own brand of hillbilly music.:)

Is that a clavinet in the background on CC Ssquaredance?

Maybe I can get a hold of a copy of it thats not distorted.:eek: ;)

man that voice.....THAT is hillarious.....:D ....i cant stop smiling........man get rid of that.."its just a clip'....and post the full version.....i would LOVE to here where this goes.......as long as there is more of that voice.....lol.....cool...little groove too.....

thanks man. I was messin with horns and needed a little tune to lay them on so i did that. As for the voice I didnt know what to do, I`m not a soul singer, nor can I call a square dance, so I just let nature takes its course. I did have loads of fun with it though. :)
 
after reading the comments, i just had to listen......very unique.....did you pitch shift the voice or what? good luck in your budding funk career

naw man.... no pitch shift. You just put your chin on your chest real tight and hold your breath while you talk, and pretend your Clarence Carter. :)
Im not trying to do funk, just messin around, I jus like a lotta different music.

ummm......yeah....I think....well you know.....major funk factor goin'on here....considering....uh...yeah.
