a few questions on plugins

i am using pro tools 6.7 with a mbox i am looking for a couple of answers

Just got done recording a song great sound better then i expected only one thing u can hear every guitar slide to much. Is there any way to get rid of this if i could the sound would be great i have used compression but thats pretty much it. anyways any advice would help i am using a studio projects b1 mic to mic the acoustic guitar.
 
I don't think you want to use a plugin for this, but here are a few tips (you will have to retrack):

1. Soak your fret hand in warm water for a few minutes to soften it up and reduce the fretnoise.
2. Use freteeze (sp?) or one of those products (but some of them tend to make it worse).
3. Reposition the mics like ace516 said, pointing them away from the fretboard a bit more. You will have to play with it to keep the guitar from sounding boomy, as you will be aiming it more toward the soundhole...
