A Few Newbie questions inside...

Hey everyone.

First i'll list everything i have:
1402VLZ mackie mixer
Oktava mc012
SM57, 58, 48
AT digital ref series sm57 type mic, and 2 crappy backups
(2) ECM8000

Lexicon core 2 24bit system
Tyan Trinity 400 board
celeron 700
Turtle beach montego sound card
192 megs of Ram
(2) Western Dig HD's 7200rpm, 30 and 40 gig
32x burner, and a 72x Kenwood ROM drive

I need to upgrade the motherbaord and processor,
but i don't really have the money. But I might be able
to swindle a nice p3 chip that would slide right into
the board I already own. Is that a usefull solution??

I also need to get a decent Kick drum mic, i was considering the CAD one that is approx 130$ it seems to have a decent reponse curve. I have looked at a few others, but they are a bit out of the price range.

Whatelse should I be looking for?

Any CPU upgrade would be great....what are we talkin...700 to 800 MHZ. PIII ? You wont notice it much.
Now a good new mobo can be had for $90, but a 1 gig chip or better will cost some bucks.
I would take a chip for free, but Id rather save my money for the later.
As far as a drum mic.....cant help ya
