Here's my second mix (and final submission)... a composite of Rokket's new bass line with the old one, and a slight re-work of Ruth's vocals...

It is suposed to be tomorrow unless I have a lot more entries that are coming in. If it doesn't end tomorrow, it won't be finished until May 3rd because I will be in HAWAII VACATIONING! Sorry, I'm a little excited.

No, I won't have time to get it done before you leave, so I am just going to mix one for my own practice. I want to see if I can pitch correct. You can go with what you have...

Seeing as I look like the little mud princess, that might be a good idea! I've scrubbed so hard to get this self tanner off that now I am splotchy and pink. Kind of like a dirty little piglet.

I will be judging this evening and will let you all know the results as soon as possible.
 
nice singing, etc..

with all the worrying about the bass intonation and such, am I the only one hearing the ac gtrs out of tune?

I think the bass with its tone is sitting good in the various mixes.

Many mixes I'm not hearing a kick drum....except on sine707's version

Maybe your monitor position has a low-end null -- in my mix, the kick is exactly where it's supposed to be.
 
First of all I would like to thank all who participated in making this song so much more than it started out. Bentrabbit, your drums are perfection and I appreciate your help more than you know. Rokket, your bass gave this song a whole new dimension and added exactly what it needed. This song now sounds the way I wanted it to feel and I am in your debt. I don't mean to get all mushy on you guys but hey, I am a girl.

Many, Many, Many thanks for all the mixing that went into this song, each entry has something unique that made this really hard.

I have a nod to go forth to IpsoFacto. I enjoyed the electric guitar add on. It was fun to hear in the mix.

Bruce, your mix has been chosen for my CD. It has the the clarity I was looking for. Thank you for putting the effort forth to bring out the subtlties in this sound. I am forever in amazement of your abilites. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

How would you like to be read on the CD leaflet and can I have a WAV file?
