hi. i'm lookin' for an a/d converter for the digi 001 so i can record 8 more tracks at a time. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of companies/products that i should get. thanks.

How many more do you require?

I ask because they make converters that come in 1, 2 ,4 and 8 channel with prices around $150 to $5400 .

SoMm

Get another 001. Since you are running PT you will need to use Digi hardware (I believe) so that narrows down your options right there. You can get external convertors but you still have to get the digital audio into your computer and that will require another digi interface with digital i/o.

i'm lookin' for 8 more. and i'm pretty sure you don't need another 001. i think i can get an a/d converter and use the optical in/out into the 001 i already own.

theres adat I/O on that thing...you could go real cheap on swissonic converters that DONT suck or RME or apogee or whatever
