Hi all. Looking for an A/D 8-16 in to adat lightpipe. Apogee has the ad-16 but it wount be released until later this year and I have no idea what the list price is. Looking to spend around$1000-1500 for 8 channels.

I just recived an e-mail from apogee. AD-16 is released in Sept. and has a list of $3000. I want to wait for awhile to allow the hype to die. Any other suggestion are welcome.
 
My curiousity and probably ignorance has got me... What's wrong with something like Frontier Design Group's Tango 24? It's around $600 last I checked.
