Hi Guys,
Been under the weather lately, so I recorded a new tune to break the boredom.
If you click the link, it will automatically download to your PC.
I'm including the lyrics in this email so you can make out what
I'm saying ( I sound like a barking seal sometimes...)
Anyway, hope you dig it like I do and all is well with you and yours.
Peace,
Carmen

Across The Universe
Lennon / McCartney

Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing me

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Images of broken light which
dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a
restless wind inside a letter box
they tumble blindly as
they make their way across the universe

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Sounds of laughter shades of life
are ringing through my open ears
exciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which
shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on across the universe

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Jai guru deva
Jai guru deva

Very cool tune. I like it. Vocals are a bit loud, and out front, but other than that, this is fun to listen to.
Thanks.

Thanx Ed, you're very kind.
My wife bitches if she can't hear the vocals, so I over compensate for her on occasion.

I always thought he sang "Kangaroo Dave"

The "a" at the end is apparently just the effect of singing a word that ends with "v"... and a suggestion was "i salute the heavenly teacher" and is, again apparently, referring to the marahashyhishy's teacher.

But the music is beautiful!

cool take on a great song...Nice harmonies...I always thought this song was under-produced, I think John did too...THIS is more how it should have been arranged. Nice job.

The translation I knew was "Glory to the divine teacher, om." 'Om' being the mantra that is supposed repeated by all life forms in the universe.

Anyway, carry on!

Really good arranging on this... the multiple guitar parts especially, which are expertly performed... and the bass line which is great. An oddly charismatic vocal style. Drums sound good, as do the strings later.

I don't care too much myself for the hard compression on the guitars... especially at the intro where they're all alone for a moment. And the vocal autotune's a little intense - clicking from pitch to pitch, heh-heh.

Be interesting to hear it with a bit less compression and with the autotune eased up.
