Chris:

First off, I don't do 4 bangers on dial-up... so all I listened to was the panned acappella version. I won't say I've heard a lot of Jaimee before, but of what I have heard, she has never sounded better than on this.

Two takes? You both suck. :D

I like that new version. Very smooth and subtle with the effects. You're finally getting close to doing her voice justice ;)

My only complaint would be a few bass notes that jump out a little. A good mastering job would probably take care of it.

Since you're a lawyer and probably have a few bucks why don't you just go throw down on a serious pre/comp/ADC channel? It would make a world of a difference. Something like this http://www.mercenary.com/landualvocco.html would be cool and it doesn't have enough knobs for you to overtweak it. ;)

hey chris. i listened to the first version and don't have time to listen to the rest. i hardly have time to stop by this bbs right now but i wanted to comment on something that struck me immediately. jaimee's voice sounds like she's been working on it a lot. this sounds miles beyond what you've posted of her before. much better control overall. pass that on to her. whatever she's doing, it's working very well cause her voice sounds great on this!

Thanks, man. It means a lot to both of us.

I think it's 3 things mostly:

1. She's getting older;
2. The song is kinda' low; and
3. The engineer ruled. :D :D :D

--Some kind soul is granting his talents in the form of mandolin tracks for this...YEEESSSSSSSS. :D

Tex - I always kinda' sweat a little when you listen to a Jaimee recording, lmao. Glad to hear I passed eventually. :D :D -

The bass was buggin me too, so I tracked an electric one...final version if anybody cares is on my singles page.

Dachay... - Thanks a ton - I forget sometimes how nice the cable modem is...but I could never go back, lol.

Well

This just blew me away. I listened to the first with reverb. It was georgeous. I then listened to the last with guitar and was really impressed. It would be cool to start capella and then blend in late to the full version. I thought the voice was really good, it demands attention. The song itself was great.

I hear this wonderful angelic voice and then some clown singing bg vocals. hmmm...:p

j/k :D

This is beautiful. Jaimee's voice is really coming along. Not that it was bad the last time I heard it, it just sounds a bit smoother and mature. Very nice. That girl has a very good voice. No doubt she could do what ever she chooses with it.

It's amazing how I can hear similarities to her old man in her phrasing and some of the ways she uses her voice.

Very enjoyable listen.

If no one else will buy what you have, I'll take the whole lot.

Man you have struck a note with me....OK...picture this....I was listening to your Boom Box Muddy Mix (whatever) and received a huge helping of goose bumps. That's when I know a song has done it for me.

Yup just listened to it again...and am listening to it now and I am totally digging this. Willie Nelson_________________________________________________________________________________Jimmy Buffet______________________________________________________________I could imagine a bigger mix with the exact tracks you've already laid down. This song will be the first that I will record from an Indie Home Artist and play on the way to work.

Just started it again...DUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEE
Now you've done it. I'm a bonafide fan "cussin at a can"....that's a new one.

Sunday Morning is a HIT....Maybe not track one....but definitely a HIT.

Not to bad of a mix either.....ok it could use a little help...but the song itself....mmmmmwwwwaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!

What a goof I am

I didn't realize that Sunday Morning was A cover song. I couldn't find the Acapella stuff.

However, I think you did an outstanding job on the cover...really caught the mood with the Vocals
