A button to record?

I was wondering if any of you would know if its possible to set up vegas audio so that I could press a key on the computer keyboard and it would start and stop the recording? I mostly record by my self and when Im recording guitar the pickup gets interference with the monitor and i just want to be able to turn set my levels turn the monitor off and use the keyboard. Thanks in advance.
 
Ctrl-R is the keyboard record shortcut. So, OK, technically it's two buttons, but it's not a mouse.

Your copy of Vegas should have come with the "keyboard commands" fold-out. It's in the help menu, too.
 
Hey thanks thats excaclty what I was wanting to know. I got my disc second hand so I didnt get any paperwork past the seriel code but thanks again.
