A Belated Merry Christmas

Phyl,

Beyond the abrupt ending, this song sounded very nicely arranged and performed! :)

As for hearing bass, I didn't actually catch a bass part on this track?

The rest of the instruments seemed to be pretty balanced in the bottom end but a little brittle sounding in the upper mids. This might be my computer speakers so, I am not 100% on that one.

Mix-wise the left of center string patch was a little too loud in the mix and a little too dry sounding.

The guitar work was first rate and sounded very well performed and appropriate to the composition,

Nice work, over all.

Cheers! :)

Thanks Ghost.

I'm working on getting some of the harshness out of the string parts.

I was re-reading a sonusman post from a few years ago in which he advises rolling off the high frequencies on the reverb returns. I'll think I'll start there.

Nice job. I'm not crazy about that piano reverb. The early reflections are too obvious. You might try a more diffused reverb.

Real nice man. The acoustic guitar at the end is played with perfection and you should play it throughout the tune IMO. It needs to be the centerpoint. What's with the ending?

Thanks Lynx - I need to retrack the ending, maybe add a few bars so I can fade it out.
